How does a Pure Enrichment Humidifier work?

Always start with the basics by knowing how a product is designed to work. In this case, we are referring to the MistAire cool mist ultrasonic humidifier. Don’t forget that!

If you like it, you can order it from It is as below:

This is one of the easiest-to-use humidifiers on the market. Getting the settings right is not a problem at all.

Near the bottom, you will see one button—just one! That’s how simple the user interface of this humidifier is.

But before we get to this button…

First, find a good place to set it up. On the floor or up high? Higher is better, at least two feet, which means on a table or desk is just fine.

Also, place it a foot away from the wall. The manufacturer says 6 inches, but even bigger is better to ensure there is proper air circulation.

Secondly, to get the humidifier running, remove the tank and fill it. We shall show you how in the next step. You can then plug it into the wall and start enjoying a good mist output from the 360-degree nozzle almost immediately.

Thirdly, the Pure Enrichment MistAire humidifier comes in two sizes: large and small. The large one has a 1.7-liter tank, and it can humidify a space of 250 square feet for up to 25 hours, of course, on and off.

The small one, also called the MistAire Studio has a smaller tank capacity of 0.7 liters. It has two mist settings and is rated for a space measuring 175 square feet.

There is also the XL MistAire, which has a 3.8-liter tank. It is rated for 500 square feet of space and can run for days off and on without requiring a top-up.

If you have set everything up, plug it in, and press the button a few times to increase the mist output. For the MistAire Studio, you can only press it two times since there are two mist settings.

How to fill a Pure Enrichment humidifier

Setting up the MistAire cool mist humidifier is easy, and filling the tank is equally easy.

Here is what to do:

  • Unplug the humidifier from the wall
  • Remove the tank from the base of the humidifier
  • Twist the cap of the tank to open it
  • Fill it with water to about ¾ and avoid tap water
  • Put the cap back on and then place the tank on the base, press the power button

Please note that these are the Pure Enrichment Mistaire Studio ultrasonic cool mist humidifier instructions, and they apply to the other two humidifiers in the MistAire series. The only difference is the size.

Besides learning how to fill and use the MistAire humidifier, you should also know how to clean it. Because of their constant contact with water, humidifiers are notorious for growing mold.

If unchecked, they spread this fungus in the mold. Regular inhalation and contact with mist will cause mold exposure symptoms in babies.

How to set up a Pure Enrichment humidifier

How to set up Pure Enrichment humidifier

Knowing how to set up a Pure Enrichment humidifier is the first start to a great relationship. The first thing is to choose the best position for the humidifier.

Keep it in a place where pets and kids cannot access it easily, or best yet, lock the pets out of the room so that they don’t trip on the cables.

This humidifier is also good for the baby’s room. According to the user manual, place it away from the wall—at least 6 inches, but bigger is better! If the mist hits the wall, it can make it damp.

If the humidifier runs out of water, it is going to switch off automatically. Thus, there is no danger of overheating.

Also, the humidifier shuts off automatically when the tank is disconnected. There is no danger that this humidifier will keep running when it is out of water.

Remember to plug the humidifier into a socket with enough power. One of the reasons for Pure Enrichment, Homedics humidifier not working or AIRCARE Humidifier Shutting off is lack of power.

Conclusion: Pure Enrichment Humidifier Instructions

The Pure Enrichment MistAire humidifier is very simple in design. It is also very simple to set up and use.

This humidifier also has its limitations. For instance, it does not shut off when a certain humidity level in the bedroom is reached.

What you have is just a knob to control the mist output. When you turn the knob to the left, you reduce the mist output, and turning it to the right increases the mist output.

In the description, you will find a mention of auto-shutoff. This just means that if the water level runs low, the humidifier shuts off automatically. It is not about reaching the desired humidity level.

To stay on top of your indoor humidity, please get a good hygrometer and monitor it all the time, to know when to switch the humidifier on or off.

What you lack in features, you get back in price. The MistAire Studio, Large and XL are quite affordable.
